NEW!!
At the end of May 2005 we rented a car and drove around the Province
of Newfoundland. Crossing the island on the Trans Canada Highway we
visited Buchans, Grand Falls/Windsor, Gander, Bonavista, Twillingate,
Gros Morn National Park, L'anse aux Meadows and more. Our new gallery
shows photos selected from the trip. Click

Correction: references
to "Sand Park" in the galleries are incorrect and should
read "Sandbanks Park". My apologies!
------------
We (Carolyn, Ed, and
two cats; Aries and Orion) live and cruise aboard "MoonShadow"
a 1976 Gulfstar 41' ketch. We have lived aboard boats for over 20
years about half of it working and half cruising. When cruising we
typically spend summers in Maine or Nova Scotia and winters "someplace
warmer".
We enjoy cooler climes
and quiet anchorages away from the crowds. Don't look for us in the
popular spots.
Coastal navigation and
sitting around at anchor are what I am best at while Carolyn is the
offshore sailor in the team. We both spend a lot of time working
on the boat: me the engine and electronics; Carolyn varnish and canvas
work. We fill time not spent travelling or fixing on various
hobbies. Computer graphics and photography for Ed, knitting and needlepoint
for Carolyn. And of course reading and .... (ok, we'll
admit it) sitcoms on TV.
Our travels over the
years have taken us from Newfoundland to the Bahamas. Newfoundland
tops our list of favorites though we have only made two trips that
far north. Our most recent has included wintering in Burgeo. In the
south we are fond of the Carolinas and Georgia.
Be sure to check out
the photos in the galleries. There is some spectacular scenery
along our coasts. Because of the great number of images they have
been heavily compressed and so the quality is low. If you would like
a CD with high quality images send us an e-mail at cdinfo@sv-moonshadow.com.
